‚ÄčRecently, members of the Gladstone Regional Council Youth and Environmental teams visited our school, where our Agricultural studies students put forward a proposal to trap cane toads in the Wilmot lagoon.  The council officers were impressed with the work done by the students in their presentation and in the building of a cane toad trap. The council has sourced some baits and offered them to the school for use in the lagoon.  We are hoping to start the project early next term. The students will set and monitor the traps twice weekly and record the number of cane toad tadpoles taken from the system.
